ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SOFTWARE

Built for electrical contractors, not adapted for them.

Most construction software is general-purpose software with an electrical module bolted on. It knows about objects, quantities, and cost codes. It does not know that a receptacle is the visible end of a circuit that runs back through a panel, a feeder, and a distribution system.
In Development

What "electrical-specific" actually means

It means the data model is electrical. A run has a source and a destination. A panel has a feed and a schedule. A circuit has a breaker, conductors, and a raceway. A device belongs to a circuit.

When the model matches the job, the software can reason about the job. When it does not, you get a very capable spreadsheet that happens to render drawings.

  • Runs, not line items

FDR-014 is an object with a source, destination, breaker, conductors, raceway, and length — and it keeps that identity downstream.

  • Code-aware calculations

Voltage drop, ampacity, and conduit fill computed against NEC tables with the method and references shown.

  • Division 26 literacy

Specifications are read alongside drawings, because responsibility and material requirements frequently live only in the spec.

  • Contractor review built in

Review state is part of the record. Nothing is treated as settled because software produced it.

Where it fits in the stack

VoltDrop is not an estimating system, a BIM authoring tool, or a project management platform, and it is not trying to replace any of them. It sits between the contract documents and that stack — turning a set of drawings into structured electrical information those tools can consume.

Downstream handoff to estimating, BIM, prefab, and the field is planned. No third-party integration is available today.
