What VoltDrop Pro is
VoltDrop Pro provides calculation tools and document-analysis assistance for electrical contractors, estimators, preconstruction teams, and related professionals. Its purpose is to organize electrical project information and to perform commonly used electrical calculations quickly and consistently.
Outputs are intended as an aid to decision-making. They are a starting point for professional review, not a conclusion that can be relied upon without it.
What is not guaranteed
VoltDrop Pro does not guarantee, warrant, or certify any of the following:
- Code compliance. Results do not constitute a determination of compliance with the National Electrical Code, any adopted amendment to it, or any state, local, or authority-having- jurisdiction requirement.
- Engineering approval. No output is an engineering design, a stamped document, or a professional engineering opinion.
- Constructability. Proposed routes, lengths, and arrangements may not be installable given field conditions, structural constraints, other trades, or coordination requirements.
- Estimate accuracy. Quantities and derived material are estimates based on the documents provided and may be incomplete or incorrect.
- Routing feasibility. Suggested pathways are proposals requiring contractor review and are dependent on information that may not be present in the documents.
Calculation methods and limits
Electrical calculations use published methods and reference standard NEC tables. The method, code references, and inputs used are shown alongside each result so they can be independently checked.
These calculations are simplified models with stated limits. Depending on the tool, they may not account for conductor reactance, ampacity adjustment for more than three current-carrying conductors in a raceway, continuous-load factors, termination temperature limitations, harmonic loading, short-circuit current, coordination, or arc-flash considerations. The limits of each tool are listed on that tool’s page.
AI-assisted analysis
Some features use AI to read and reconcile construction documents. AI assistance is applied to interpretation — locating information, comparing documents, and surfacing apparent inconsistencies. It is not used to generate engineering calculations.
AI-assisted output can be incomplete or incorrect. Confidence indicators are a model signal, not a measurement of accuracy, and a high confidence value is not an assurance of correctness. Every finding references the documents it was derived from precisely so that it can be checked.
Responsibility
The licensed contractor, estimator, engineer, designer, or other responsible professional retains full and final responsibility for the design, calculation, estimate, installation, and code compliance of any electrical work.
By using VoltDrop Pro you acknowledge that you are responsible for verifying all inputs, reviewing all outputs, and applying professional judgment before relying on any result.
Product status
VoltDrop Pro is in active development. Capabilities are labelled throughout the site as Available Now, Early Access, In Development, or Planned. Functionality described as In Development or Planned is not currently available, and descriptions of it are statements of intent rather than commitments to a feature, a specification, or a delivery date.
No integration with any third-party estimating, BIM, prefabrication, or project management system is available at this time.
